National
Honor Society
Many
of the members in the National Honor Society dedicate their
time and effort to help out other people that are in need. This
active group hosts or donates their time to a variety of causes
and events including:
- Peer
Tutoring and Mentoring
- The
Boy's and Girl's Club
- Casa
Blanca
- Beach
Clean-ups
- After-school
activities for the 3rd and 4th graders
- Basketball
tournaments with 5th and 6th graders and their parents
- Parents
/ Children Quiz Bowl
- BINGO
- Honors
Brunch
- Country
Day School's International Dinner
Selection
of members for the John B. Faile Chapter of the National Honor
Society is made by a faculty council of five. The NHS advisor
serves as an ex officio member of this council. Students do
not apply for membership to the Society; membership is conferred
upon students selected by the faculty council on the basis of
scholarship, leadership, service and character.
