National Honor Society

Many of the members in the National Honor Society dedicate their time and effort to help out other people that are in need. This active group hosts or donates their time to a variety of causes and events including:

  • Peer Tutoring and Mentoring
  • The Boy's and Girl's Club
  • Casa Blanca
  • Beach Clean-ups
  • After-school activities for the 3rd and 4th graders
  • Basketball tournaments with 5th and 6th graders and their parents
  • Parents / Children Quiz Bowl
  • BINGO
  • Honors Brunch
  • Country Day School's International Dinner

Selection of members for the John B. Faile Chapter of the National Honor Society is made by a faculty council of five. The NHS advisor serves as an ex officio member of this council. Students do not apply for membership to the Society; membership is conferred upon students selected by the faculty council on the basis of scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Please see your student handbook for complete information.
