CDS Artists Presents Social Sculptures

The project is entitled "Collaborate and Create: Art with A Social Meaning". Ms Marin's Art 3 students were challenged to create change by constructing a public sculpture using everyday materials.

"From Dawn Until Dusk"
HIV/AID Awareness
The hose and pieces of yarn represent confinement.
The multicolored objects remind us the sufferers are all different and from all walks of life.
The numbers symbolize the deaths in different regions of the world.

"Shopping Bag Jellies"
Environmental and Animal Safety
This sculpture signifies the turtle deaths each year from choking on plastic bags they mistake for jellyfish.

"Our Crisis, Global Crisis"
HIV/AIDS Awareness

"Time Bomb "
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder seen in Veterans
Fifteen veterans die each day from suicides relating to PTSD and more is needed to help them
