Congratulations to our hard working MathCounts team and Coach Kate Baker for their win on February 23 making them the St. Croix champions! They will compete on March 23 for the USVI title right here in the Country Day Pavilion. In addition to the team win, two of our Mathletes will compete on an individual basis. Six of the eight winning mathletes were from CDS - a great tribute to our math program and the early coaching of many people.

Teams from all over our island spent a exciting, but nervewracking day at the Good Hope Gymnasium working on problems that included linear algebra, probability and statistics, geometry and discrete math. The team has been practicing since last September; some mathletes have been practicing since last year! While they have put forth great effort, the math is interesting. As one mathlete said, "This is fun!"
