Class of 2005 Graduates

"Watch what you say, how you say it and say it in a way people understand." Good advice from The Honorable George Cannon in his commencement address for the thirtieth graduating class of Country Day School. Judge Cannon also spoke of how he wasn't able to remember who the speaker was at his own graduation or what was said. After asking one of the graduates why the class choose him for the job, he was answered, "Because you are funny!" He proceeded to give a speech that was so funny, not one of our graduating class will forget who he was or what he said!

Our valedictorian is a young man who will be studying pre med at Rice University next fall and graduated from Country Day with a 3.92 grade point average. He has interned under five local doctors and put countless hours as a volunteer in several hospitals.

The salutatorian will be attending Cornell University pursuing a degree in International Relations on a $91,000 scholarship. "Work hard, leave your comfort zone, take risks and live creatively", was what she wanted her fellow classmates to take with them as they faced their future.
