Eighth Grade Celebrates

Friday, June 10 marked a special day for Country Day, Mr. Chip Adams, our celebrating eighth grade class and a very special speaker, Dr. Michelle Dizon, '84.

The reason for choosing Dr. Dizon as their guest speaker was that as an eighth grader she and her classmates felt there should be more recognition for the hard work of middle school and transition into high school. Michelle's eighth grade class and Mr. Adams, worked together and at years' end was the first Eighth Grade Celebration.

In her speech, the eighth grade validictorian told her fellow classmates "not be afraid to try new things." Mr. Sadler spoke of how blessed we are to have such a dedicated middle school team. Mr. Adams was very proud that thirty-five percent of the class scored in the 90th percentile on the last Iowa Achievement Test.
