Spring Music Concerts Showcase Talented Students
On May 13, our first concert took place with the Choral and Handbell performancesled by musicial directors Catalina Sevilla-George and Dan Dixon.

First to take the stage was the Primary Chorus with “Do-Re-Mi.” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

The Intermediate Chorus belted “Day-O,” before the Handbells took over with a beautiful song that Mr. Dixon wrote for our beloved Julianna Zinn.

Next came our Middle School Choir and the Upper School Choir. The Country Day String Ensemble joined in for “Elenor Rigby.”

The finale was a huge spectacular of all choruses on stage performing “Yes, You Can.”

The next Thurday brought the Concert Bands and Steel Pans into the spotlight with musical directors Dan Dixon and Bill Bass.

The Fifth Grade Band was first to perform, then the debut of the CDS String Ensemble.

Following Strings came the Sixth Grade Band who wrote “Tigers Unleashed” with hopes it will be adopted as our official fight song.

Upper School and Middle School Bands performed with featured musicians and high energy.

The night was brought to a close with the Beginning and Advanced Steel Bands, finishing up with an amazing rendition of “You Raise Me Up” that brought the crowd to its feet.
