Varsity and JV Soccer Teams Take SCIAA Championships

The CDS community is ecstatic over the dual wins of our Varsity and Junior Varsity Teams this year. Both Championship games were played against Good Hope School and were finished in overtime.

Varsity coach Terry Wright says, "This year we had a very young team with only two seniors, but we saw incredible maturity over the course of the season. This was a true team effort; we had no outstanding stars, and it is probably the best group I've coached in my five years at Country Day."

This was our Varsity team's first championship in over ten years.

The JV team is led by Athletic Director Nancy Hasson. Coach Hasson feels that this team "is one of the most tenacious teams I've coached in my career. When they put their heads together, they really performed."

The JV has won nine championships out of the last thirteen years.
