CONGRATULATIONS to Tyler Isherwood, (Boys 16-17) and Orenda Orr (Girls 16-17) for participating in the 22nd Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships.
The juniors played July 5th -10th at Cinnamon Hill Golf Course in Montego Bay, Jamaica . The course was long, it was extremely windy on day one and it traversed up the side of a mountain approximately 5 miles from the ocean. Our juniors played a practice round on Monday and played 3 days in the tournament walking each day all carrying their bags.
Each and every junior contributed to the success of our participation through their determination and perseverance on what was a beautiful but difficult golf course. The team placed 7th overall out of 9 teams which is the highest finish for the Virgin Islands.
Orenda Orr placed 6th out of 13 with a 54 hole total of 270.
Tyler Isherwood placed 8th out of 21 with a 54 hole total of 248.
