Role of Advisor
Advisors meet with a small group of students on a regular basis to ensure that the students develop a good rapport with an adult. The advisor is the person with whom the parents can contact to set up appointments for conferences.
When does Advisory Meet?
Each day in the morning; once during the week for a longer period; once as a whole middle school meeting.
Purpose
Daily: Help students get organized, share announcements, discurss issues that arise.
Weekly: Advisories will share the responsibility of planning and running all MS Meetings.
Throughout the Quarter:
Goal Setting: -Set up porfolios; establish and reflect on goals; plan community service activities.
Prepare for Student Led Conferences; plan for Community Building Events; Middle School Olympics; Fun Night
