Characteristics

My biome project was on the Tundra. The climate and location are it is located at the top of the world and is a treeless land of ice and snow. It can dip below 20 degrees below zero! There is little sun in the tundra but that doesn't stop these plants from growing. The plants in the arctic tundra are mostly shrubbery, mosses , and mild flowers. There are many animals that lived in the arctic tundra. Ill start with the mammals. There were polar bears, arctic fox and some insects were grass hoppers and bees. The birds were penguins falcons and loons just to name a few. My featured animal was the arctic fox. This animal is well adapted and has muffled ears and padded feet to keep the cold out. My diorama for my biome project was fun and easy! All I needed was a shoe box, some white clay, glitter, some rocks that came from my back yard, and some quick dry glue. I just had to sculpt the clay into three animals glue them to the box, decorate it with glitter, and glue the rocks on. I thought my diorama was creative, easy and fun!
