The
Logical Journey of the ZoombinisZoombinis? Zoombinis are little, blue, egg-shaped people with hair, eyes, nose and feet - of some form. Different combinations of these make a unique Zoombinis. Zoombinis can be identical twins, but never triplets or more.
Here is your assignment.
Task 1: Following Instructions and Skills
Task 1a:
Today you will need to launch "Zoombinis". Upon launching Zoombinis, you will find out what you need to do to make Zoombinis software work on your computer. You will be asked to set you monitor.
Here's how you do that:
Change your Monitor Settings on a Macintosh
1. Click on the Apple Menu
2. Slide down with your mouse and rest the mouse cursor on Control Panels
3. Slide the mouse cursor to the right, and on the submenu move down to Monitors
4. Click on Monitors
5. Remember what the monitor settings are (you'll have to change them back)
6. Click on the two monitor settings you need to change to launch Zoombinis
7. Close the Monitor's properties window called "iMac"
Task 2: Playing Zoombinis
Now you can launch Zoombinis successfully (if you can't try again to reset your monitor)
You need to familiarize yourself with the game. So, for today, you will simply play the game and don't worry about keeping track of what you do, where you go, how many Zoombinis make it, etc.
When you've complete what you need for the level you are on, the green/white arrow button will allow you to move to the next stage. Be careful, if you click this too soon, you will move on only with the Zoombinis that have complete the previous level - possibly leaving some behind.
When you need to get out of the program or need to go back to a previous level, then you use the map button. Be careful with this button to, it may cause you to lose your Zoombinis that have made it this far.
