Preschoolers
take care of the flag in front of our school. Every morning begins with an outdoor
ceremony where the Nursery, Pre-K and Kindergarden classes pledge their allegiance
to the Stars & Stripes. The coveted position of flag raiser is a carefully
shared job. When singing is over, it's time to go inside and get to work.
Classwork
includes progressively designed lessons in math, social studies, science, pre-writing
and writing skills. Faculty are trained specialists in the development of young
children.
Holidays
provide a fun way to learn Science and History. "Hands-on" is the name
of the game, gingerbread houses are "tongues-on" too
.
Art
is part of every day and is integrated into all subject areas as children manipulate
materials & are introduced to specific design elements.
"Specials"
are included in the preschool curriculum. Children leave the
classroom in small groups for music, library, P.E.,spanish,
swimming and field trips.
Of
course, there's plenty of time for play,
and rest,
and friends.
