Kate Baker started her teaching career in 1987 and has been at Country Day School since 1998. She holds a:
Ms. Baker teaches Middle School Science in a bi-yearly rotation of Earth Science and Life Science. She also teaches Upper School Math in the same type of rotation of Discrete Math and Statistics. She has been the advisor to the 8th Grade Celebration for the past six years and organizes a community service project around Coastweeks, a world-wide beach clean up/data analysis project. An avid scuba diver, Ms. Baker tries to dive at least twice a month, since the coral around St. Croix is fantastic. She writes a newspaper column on food and eating in the Adirondacks (www.corruptedpalate.com) She likes to relax from her hectic schedule with her shelter dog, Cassie (AKA Stinkerbell), and a good book or a little Top Chef. |
