Admission
to Country Day School is based on intellectual potential,
developmental maturity, academic achievement and level
of preparedness for the school's program. Country Day
School's admission, tuition assistance and hiring policies
are nondiscriminatory.
- At
the Preschool level, placement is based upon chronological
age and readiness screening results. A student must
be 3 years old and "potty trained" (Nursery),
4 years old (Pre-Kinder), 5 years old (Kindergarten)
by September 1st of the entering year.
- At
the Elementary and Middle School levels, placement is
based both on academic readiness and chronological age.
A student entering grade one must be 6 years old, grade
two, 7 years old, etc., by September 1st of the entering
year.
- At
the Upper School level, admissions is based upon academic
readiness and successful completion of the previous
grade. Chronological age is an important consideration.
